What the hell is wrong (No power?)

I have two nearly identical computers both on the fritz with the same problem. A few weeks ago my computer died during transportation from one house to the next. Rare, no, but the odd part is several months ago my brothers computer suffered the same fate. Neither computer get any power when the power button is pressed. I have tried shorting the power pins on the old boards, which at the time showed the dimmled was on. After a bit of forum browsing I replaced the Motherboards, and still no juice. What the hell is wrong.

Processor: Athlon 3000+ 64bit
Motherboard: Original Abit NF8 Now ECS K8M800-M2
Graphics cards: One GeForce6600 one GeForce5700 LE
Ram: 1GB Samsung 3200 Dimmension (a 400 model which is what BOTH boards accept)
Case/Power Supply: LOGISYS Computer Gladiator Special Edition CS878BK-S Black/ Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

I am at wits end and have no clue why they would be doing this. I get 0 power, not even a spin of the fans.

Try unplugging and reseating everything. Something important may have worked its way loose during transport.

If that doesnt work you can try jump starting your PSU; with everything unplugged from the motherboard and the PSU switched off, use a paperclip to short a green and black wire on the 20/24 pin connector. Switch the PSU on (for no more than a couple of seconds) to see if it spins up. If it doesn't then your PSU has died.

Make sure you have the other 4 pin ATX power lead in that is NOT part of the 20+4 (24) pin main ATX power connectors.

The other 4 pin ATX power connector is usually near the CPU socket and it's a 2x2 pin configuration.

thanks for the help but I found out it was a blown power supply this morning which i researched and found the one i had was CRAP.

i had a feeling that the power supply crapped out...i had the same issue a couple of weeks ago tho..different scenario but same issue
