RockAuto 5% Discount Code

Post by Apoptosis »

As you guys may know I'm in the process of re-building a 1969 Pontiac Firebird from the ground up. The rust free car is from Arizona was orignially my brothers till he lost interest. Right now the car has been fully stripped and sand blasted inside and out. I'm putting a narowed HD Ford 9" in the rear, a 4-bolt Chevy 350 roller motor, and a Turbo 350 tranny in it. Right now I'm putting on a Hotchkis/Global West sport suspension and am smoothing out the firewall. Baby steps on this car.

During the rebuild I've found that http://www.RockAuto.com has some of the best prices around. They actually beat the prices at AutoZone and Parts America plus there is no tax since its over the internet and out of state. I just got an e-mail for an additional 5% off any order that I or my friends place. Everyone on the forum is a friend so I thought I'd pass along the discount to you.
Dear Nathan Kirsch,

Thank you for being a http://www.RockAuto.com customer!

To show our appreciation, we would like to give you and your friends a special discount on auto parts.

Here's how it works:

- You give this discount code: 175491168817 to friends, neighbors, relatives, the guy at the corner garage--anyone you know who works on cars or trucks.
- When someone (including yourself) places an order at http://www.rockauto.com and enters your discount code in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart, he or she will receive an immediate 5% discount on that order.
- The discount code expires on March 15, 2005; so don't wait!

You may use this discount code as often as you wish until it expires, but only one discount code can be used per order.

**Each month we see people who put the word "discount" in front of their code and do not get the discount. Please enter ONLY the discount code.**
Hope some of you can use this!

Good luck with that Apop! I've always wanted to have the time, patients, and know-how to restore a car. Maybe someday. I have soem cousins who do it for a living - paint and all. It's pretty amazing. Old Firebirds are sweet rides.
I always wanted a fast (acceleration) car until I started riding motorcycles. Now, cars don't really compare in that department unless you are filthy rich or lucky enough to get a Ferrari et al. Here's my current ride:

Apop... take some before pics of your firebird and make a dedicated thread to its progress while you finish it! :)
