There will be pics, don't worry. It's a personal build. I've wanted a quiet PSU for a long time now. I got 2 kits of ram because prices are at an all time low and according to DRAMeXchange, the prices are going back up, so now is the time to buy 8) (If i had the $$ I'd be on the commodities market buying now too)
The mobo is costing me about 40euro as I'm returning the P5B. They said I could upgrade instead as the P5B is still selling well.

And yes it will be added to my little folding farm :)

Them is fighting words
Bunsen better get his thinking cap on, because you have to claw back ~30K and my PDD is still rising ;)

I should be replacing my E6300 for a Q6600 in a month or so.......The E6300 will replace my 3800+ as that can just about complete SMP WUs within the 4 day deadline (thats with native 64bit ubuntu)
Dont forget the X35 chip set will be here soon.....my ¨electronics envy¨ might just force me to get one of those aswell
I could even move my X1900 over to the AMD rig, 330pts every 9hrs
Also, my Lappy is only folding (native 64bit ubuntu SMP) when Im home, that can easilly change ;)

I might just go on vacation for a while.........since Beaker needs all the help he can get :)

Slainte :drinkers:

Im testing now, one stick @ a time. Im setting 2.2v from the get-go as this will be my 24/7 setting.
First stick is @ 900MHz 4-4-4-12 2.2v auto everything else.
Im also using the Abit 650i board, which I never really got used to. Testing all this ram and a board, Its going to be a late night.....

Also I got confirmation the mobo and psu will be delivered tomorrow as well ;)

Initial testing show all the DIMMS perform about the same

Setup:
Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI Nvidia 650i Chip Set
E6300 1.35v ~1.9GHz
VDIMM 2.2v | Unlinked | NB 1.31v | 4-4-4-12(Manually set) other timings set to auto

Stick #1: Maxed out @ 1020MHz
Stick #2: Maxed out @ 1015MHz
Stick #3: Maxed out @ 1025MHz
Stick #4: Maxed out @ 1020MHz

I only tested each stick with Memtest86+ for ~10 loops of test #5, but testing was equal for each stick.
I'm not re-testing the PC8000 set as I want to see what I can do with 4 dimms loaded ;)

They are all from the same batch, if anyone is interested. 7230 = 30th Feb '07

Sorry, I was too busy lately to update this thread.
I was just about to test how far the ram can go with 2x 1gb sticks at a time, but.....
I just found out my PC8000 kit (D9GKX IC's) is dead :(
One of the sticks gives errors every time when running Memtest, it fails every time at the same point in test #2 (and others)
I liked those sticks! I was hoping to get past 1.2GHz with those on the P35 board.
Ahh well, they have a lifetime warranty and Memory-Configurator.com have always been good to me, so I'm not worried.

I'm gonna see how far I can push the PC6400 ram with all DIMMS loaded.
I'm currently @ 950 4-4-4-18-3-30-3-3-8 2T (4 GB loaded). I'll try a few dividers and see how far past 1GHz I can get.

I tested using the 6x multi and no boot above 497MHz FSB, seems the CPU has reached it's max
Testing 7x416MHz (2.9GHz) and the 667MHz divider now, 4 sticks @ 1GHz 4-4-4 2.2v
I'll post screenies once things are found to be stable.
