100th WU

Post by dgood »

So I sent in my 100th wu today and I'm still working on getting my second amd athlon 64 x2 up and running as the harddrive is messed up and windows doesn't stay too stable for that reason. keep getting hd errors when I get the new hd I'll boot it up and get it folding for a while as a burn in at the least. don't know if I can justify to my parents having 4 machines of mine folding all the time. my p4, athlon xp, and my fx-60 are all currently 80% of the time just folding graphical.

great job! If you have one machine that can handle SMP client then use that one and don't worry about the other machines. SMP client will use all cores at 100%. lot's of points!

Umm, sorry if I'm stealing your topic, but what is this SMP client?

Edit: Oh wait, nevermind. Found my answer.

Congrats on your 100th WU.

I'll try it again, but last time it didn't work maybe its a problem with windows xp professional x64 it has the weirdest program problems at times when all others work great. you'd think it'd be better as you could use all 64bits of the processor instead of 32.

Well it appears to be working we'll see how it helps when it finishes a wu. I wonder if I can run the gpu client with it too  I never did finish a wu with that client to see the point difference.

BTW Could a DMZ Affect the ability of the program to work. Just like it effects Steam?

So i think it's official The Wu Finished last night and sent just now as I was watching right when I got up for work. the DMZ was affecting its ability to send to server. which sucks as I use dmz all the time to host video games for my friends and I to play eachother. Just need to remember to turn it off when I get close I guess.
