..for a Geforce 6800XT AGP x8 256 MB card to replace my Geforce 4 ti 4200 in my sig?

yeah it should be fine, as long as your not overclocking, assuming its a high quality brand.

not overclcocking what, i OC'ed the CPU from 2.08 to currently 2.19
and assuming what is high quality, the PSU?

check out my thread here http://forums.legitreviews.com/about7169.html, if its not listed post the brand and model. I only really need the UL if its an unknown brand, which for the most part is crap,but there are exceptions like when Corsair came on the market.

ok, thanks dicecca, that helps a lot, the cpu calculator said with the new card i need 320 tops(and it overcalculates)

-also i might get a X1650 instead of 6800XT(to get 4 more pixelpipes and higher core and memclocks for $10 more than the open box 6800 :) )

6800 performs better than a 1650. an x1800 is more akin to a 6800

if you are talking about the 6800 or 6800 ultra the 6800xt is almost a 6600gt as it is scrapped down. xt for nvidia means not so good as for ati where it means awesome. the x1650 is better I think.
