LinkyThe former star of “Dharma and Greg” is a devotee of the controversial religion, whose members also include Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
“I intend to make Scientology as accessible to as many people as I can. And that is my goal,” Elfman said. To do this, she says, it is my “duty to clear the planet.” By “clearing” she means to rid the world of “body thetans” — aliens who Scientologists believe inhabit the earth from a nuclear explosion 75 million years ago. She continued that “the more successful I became, the more suppression I bumped into … especially in the entertainment industry, which really is home to rabid suppression.”

I watched it for a few episodes cuz I thought she was hot......but the whole concept of the show got annoying pretty quick.
Maybe she has "suppression" confused with her complete lack of acting talent.
Not to crap on anyones religion, but Scientology is a cult. Thank God it is limited mostly to Hollywood.....Keep drinking the Kool-Aid

wait a second... Spears is into Scientology?
Other Famous Scientology Members:
Isaac Hayes
Kirstie Alley
Juliette Lewis
Lisa Marie Presley
damn it... they got Juliette too!!
I found this on Google about Tom Cruise:
Rumor has it Penelope Cruz' family begged her not to turn her back on her Catholic upbringing and convert to Scientology, even if it meant losing then-boyfriend Tom Cruise. Tom reportedly dumped Penelope because she refused to join the Scientologists. Tom's ex-wife Nicole Kidman's alleged refusal to convert to Scientology is also rumored to have influenced Tom's decision to divorce Nic.
Holy cow... there are lots of famous people in this click...

I went to the Scientology website scientology.org, and it seems "clear the planet" means something else to them. From their website:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What does “clear the planet” mean?
It means that Scientologists want to rid the planet of insanity, war and crime, and in its place create a civilization in which sanity and peace exist. In order to do this, they must help individuals become free of their own individual insanities and regain awareness that they are basically good.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
They talk all flowery about their history, beliefs, etc, and if you read most of the text, it says a whole lotta nothing.
This "religion" is all about exalting man and his congnitive ability to be more "spiritual." They believe that man is intrinsically good.
All bs if you ask me, all-be-it I am a Christian.

You use the word "cult" as if it is a negative thing. There are about 6 definitions of the word "cult," and only 2 of them have any negative connotation whatsoever. Also, why is Scientology such a bad thing? I was curious, so I started looking up on the internet what they believe, etc. There are 8 "dynamics" to the religion, and I cannot see the harm in any of them. It appears to me that scientologists are just people who are trying their best to ensure survival of all species, including humankind. They are also ultimately interested in their spiritual well-being. To me, this religion seems to parallel Buddhism in many ways (but certainly not all). What is all the hoop-lah about? Why is this religion so controversial? Because they are just different? Because they are extremists in that they want to make the world a better place for all who live here? I don't understand. I am missing the controversy.capper5016 wrote:Not to crap on anyones religion, but Scientology is a cult. Thank God it is limited mostly to Hollywood
