Wow, what was impressive is how he kept his head and turned to land.
The adrenaline from the jump must of helped him get back up though.

Re: New level of ouch
during that 40ft fall he had time to think about how to land, and he did so with only getting a fracture and bruises(internal, ie, kidney) i agree that the adrenaline helping him get up and stay up AND he plans on boarding after one short week of recovery, thats amazing

So when will shoes be designed not to pop off when something bad happens to you? I mean everytime a person gets jacked you always see the media coverage showing the shoes on the ground.

Re: New level of ouch
I wonder how much energy from the fall is actually used up in popping off the shoes though. It's probably insignificant, but it'd be interesting to know if it would save you say from breaking your leg when they pop off (compared to your leg breaking if they stay on).Sporg wrote:So when will shoes be designed not to pop off when something bad happens to you? Re: New level of ouch
they should design pants that direct energy towards the shows so they pop off instead of you breaking your leg! genius!

Re: New level of ouch
it isn't surprising at all that his shoes came off. Many boarders don't wear their shoes tight when they ride. I've worn my shoes "untied" since I was little enough to board, and that's been QUITE a while. ;)
