Hello, Intel' senior management.
We are the INTEL product users and we very like Intel products. Unfortunately, we have again see the Intel product technical support' quality drop!
The early time, many years ago, the INTEL technical support qualities were very good.
2005-2006, we have experienced Intel not timely update the Intel board's BIOS. When the Intel' 478pin motherboard and processor in the one time was sales. Intel created the confusion and trouble to users. (Server Board s875wp1-E BIOS no update for core G0 processors supported)
Today, we have again watching the Intel have confusion from Intel' product technical support (Intel website technical resource and BIOS download).
We want to purchase Intel Q6700 or other G0 processors and will run on the Intel Workstation Board S975XBX2. We have checked the INTEL website resources, the result obtained the chaotic information. It is seriously hinders us to purchase INTEL the product!
The Intel quality drop:
1. Intel website technical resource and BIOS download not timely update, and not earnest.
2. Technical resource documents are extremely sloppy and not detailed description.
* Presents evidence:

The Intel Workstation Board S975XBX2 latest BIOS are v2777 at 6 Aug 2007.
Release Notes: v2747 at 23 May 2007, v2770 at 13 June 2007, v2777 at 6 Aug 2007. These documents all have indicated: "Updated processors support". Please special pays attention! (The Intel will let us do not understand what processors and new supported.)
** BUT:

Workstation Board S975XBX2 Supported Processors:
Solution ID: CS-023536
Date Created: 18-Oct-2006
Last Modified: 17-May-2007 (Last supported new processor is QX6800)
Last supported new processor is QX6800, BIOS v2692 at 13 Apr 2007.
So what are "Updated processors support" for v2747, v2770, v2777?? What are their processors? What processor are they?
*** Intel website's server products support lets us how to believe:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/13825/E ... eNotes.pdf
This s975xbx2 BIOS Release Notes document show: it is D975xbx2 BIOS!!
OK, if Intel told us Workstation Board S975XBX2 and Desktop Board d975xbx2 have same BIOS. So which what processors for the d975xbx2? Intel tell us (from Intel website Desktop board d975xbx2):
http://support.intel.com/support/mother ... 026614.htm
Solution ID: CS-026614
Date Created: 24-May-2007
Last Modified: 07-Aug-2007
You must pay attention to your eyes: d975xbx2 Supported Processors' update date is 7 August 2007, in other words, it is timely updates.
**** However, same BIOS updated, same a Release Notes document, but supported processors were different, it is how confusing! Intel website tell us about d975xbx2 and s975xbx2 supported processors:
http://support.intel.com/support/mother ... 026614.htm
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboar ... 023536.htm
d975xbx2 and s975xbx2 BIOS:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_ ... bmit=Go%21
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_ ... bmit=Go%21
Processor Contrast:
d975xbx2 has: G0 Q6700 (BIOS Version 2692 or greater) and other B3 processors.
s975xbx2 has: only B3 Q6600 or other B3 processors.
Now, can you believe these?
***** Result:
Technical resource documents all have indicated: "Updated processors support". However, these s975xbx2 BIOS documents all have no processor's micro code. These documents lack value.
If you have purchased Q6700 or other G0 processor, and running has the problem on the S975XBX2 Workstation. When you complain to Intel, Intel's senior technical personnel will censure to you: " Why you do not to use list's processors?"
This is their some excels circus performs. You will keep in your mind!
Here, we have a strong demand:Intel server products Department, Please improve your technical support quality!
The early time, many years ago, the INTEL technical support qualities were very good.

Re: To Intel' senior management
I truly here you on this topic. And the issue isn't just Intel in this industry either. However, one would expect Intel to be ontop of this to correct the confusion. If Intel has become laxed in this area, the they have either became to big to see the problem, or not well equiped to tackle this problem on their radar of things relating to this product.
Hopfully, others have sounded off to Intel about this very topic. The more complaints, the better chance the correction will become available.

While there is a small chance that someone in Intel might catch this thread, have you thought about emailing intel with your complaints?

Aug 2006, my complaints were contacted Intel service, with server board S875wp1-e and desktop board D865GVHZ the BIOS. However, final no results, Intel did not make any improvements.
Intel's someone senior technical personnel censured to me: " Why you do not to use list's processors?"
This is their some excels circus performs.
However, other manufacturers had timely updates BIOS for supported 478pin G0 processors. But their micro code was all by Intel offered.
Today, I have again contacting Intel. (S975xbx2 problem)
Here, I sincerely request everyone send this topic content, need more Intel users attention. Only extensive pressure can urge Intel improvement.
If you truly like the Intel product, invites everybody together diligently!
