Post by Inshali »

i got a bit of a ? ive never played with a xbox or any other than a comp for games never had a playstation or anything like it many friends say i should be using a game pad , are they any better than keyboard and mouse ? and if so what is a good low budget one to start and try and learn with?
most of my games are first person , besides flight and then its a joystick or wheel.

Keyboard and mouse is the best for First person shooters... it would be a really bad idea for you to switch to a gamepad for those games. Nothing beats the accuracy of a mouse in a first person shooter

Keyboard/mouse combo is also much faster than a gamepad in first person shooters.

And if you get a 360, keep on using a keyboard and mouse!

Seriously though, if you are playing PC games, stick to your keyboard and mouse, its a lot better. The only way you should be using a joypad is if you are forced to while playing on the console!

Well they are some really nice equipment, so definitely don't go swapping them out for a gamepad!

If you have yet to buy components, why don't you tell us what you have, we may even be able to offer suggestions for better parts in the same price range.

I would like to have a game pad to play racing games on the PC, as I can't afford the steering wheel and pedals I want. Everything else, especially FPS, should be played with a mouse/kb.
