Good news! I've completed my first WU. Of course it's nothing compared to the many others on the team, but I do know that my machine is capable of crunching the jobs.
Now the next step is OC'ing and water cooling to get a better run rate.
Attempt to get work failed :(

What are you using to cool it? or is that a secret? ;)

LOL

The machine is running a ThermalTake P4 Volcano 478 fan+ heatsink combo OEM cooler. Running SMP on the single core shot the temps up to 67C and the computer would reboot. Running the F@H Windows for a single processor at 51~68 duty, the temps hoover at 57C. That's a 10C window of head room. Usually this machine runs at a cool 42C without such a number crunch burnin program.
The processor is this one mentioned in the forums here:
http://forums.legitreviews.com/about11317.html
It's a hard to find processor and one of the first Intel's to go to HT in the series just before the Preshotts were about to come out.

Thanks! I'm hoping number 2 will be done on time today at 8am-ish this morning.

Re: Attempt to get work failed :(
Got number two done, but ran into a firewall port issue this week. Well, I figured it out tonight being port 8080 was blocked.
In another 10 hours I'll have WU 3 done.
In other F@H events here on the home machine, I've managed to get the CPU to duty cycle 51~80% of the time. Every few seconds it goes in steps from 50 to 62 to 80 and then starts the sequence all over starting at 50 again. I'm sure glad that this primarily happening during idle times that I'm not using the computer.
Also, I've got the machine doing a mild over clock at 3.125Ghz without having the CPU temp rise about 60C.
For now, things will be going well until I spend the time getting the liquid cooling ready once again. Since I removed it when the Intel board died on me, other things have cluttered my desk.
So guys, dicecca112, Darkstar and Ken51, a BIG thanks for getting things working here for me.
