DFI Ultra-D
I took the plunge and just bought a DFI Ultra-D from ZZF. I am just praying that its a moddable board. At the moment i dont have the money for the rest of the set up so it will just sit in my room until i can buy a cpu, and video card. sad insent it. but hey thats what you get when you want to mod a Ultra-D into an SLI mobo.

There is only one problem...where do you get teh vid-card bridge pcb? It WILL mod..it's just like every other silicon chip out there..one version, different grades. they are all the same design. Mod away, and if you find somewhere to get teh bridge, let me know...PLEASE!

For the moment i would suggest that people hold off on buying this motherboard until DFI resolves most of the bios issues. I have been trying to get my board to boot now for well over 3hrs and still no luck. I have no doubts that i will love this board once its working im just suggesting that people not jump on the band waggon quite yet.

what ics is that geil you have? btw have you tried using the safe mode jumper instead of clearing the cmos? try switching the usb to the 5vsb or unplug them. and finally i assume you have the molex and mini plugged in? nothing else i can think of to try or have seen help.
btw which revision of the board do you have?

Success, it seem that the DFI did not like my MSI cdrom. I have since tested the cdrom and it is working just fine on another computer... go figure. Needless to say i am now installing windows (for the time being i want 64 bit gentoo but i really want some bench marks first)

Got a slk-948 from capper on my rig now and my bh-5 memory came in so im now testing the memory to find out where my peak bandwidth is. getting the skl on was a bitch and a half, so for people looking to get a mobo like this one i highly recomend getting a more recent cooler one designed for just a46 and p4.
Big thanks to capper for his donation, should let me hit new highs.

Glad to help. When I have stuff I don't need or don't use it hopefully ends up in someone elses board.

well i just hit 241 (2-2-2-8) fsb on my bh-5 at 3.2v and active cooling now testing for 242. if i can hit 246 stable then i know i can get up to 300 fsb with the cpu/166 divider so thats my goal.
Three things first off i love the built in memtest prg that was IMO a brilliant idea on DFI's part.
Second i found that 2-2-2-8 gave me better bandwidth in memtest than any other setting better than 2-2-2-7 and 2-2-2-9 so its worth it to see how your cpu/mem work for best performance
third i found the really great little a64 tool made by Cpjk over at ocforums.com

I just switched to the 4v memory jumper and im now pushing 3.3v to the memory but one thing is for sure you need active cooling on the voltage regulating mosfett that provides power to the memory because that sucker gets hot when its enabled.

2-2-2-8-15-1. tRFC =15, and if you got a decent set, 0.1v should give you 15mhz. Works great with the ch-5 i have on brainpower, and the DFI board, and it's memory voltage options, have me set for one in my next rig, I think.
