Power Supply, IDE cables, Cases? Help

Post by fatefirst »

Power Supply.
I am looking for X-Connect 500w Ultra power supply
I would say no more than 100 for a power supply.
If possible nice blue lights 0.0.

IDE cables.
I know they come with the motherboard. BUT
I would like to the rounded cables.
Plus nice colors. d:

Cases.
I got my case already.

Please help me in my search for the best deal.

An important tip from one of our users: don't just check total power output, find out what you need in the way of current on each power rail. If you need 20 A on your +12V rails and the supply only has 15A, it doesn't matter how many watts the supply puts out: don't buy it. Make certain that you have ENOUGH rails, too: sometimes, you need more than just two +12V rails for your setup.
So get a corsair PSU.

Choose a lower cost component somewhere else in your build and go for one of these:

Corsair 620W $169.99 ($139.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate)

Or slightly more to your budget, but less power

Corsair 550W $104.99

It would have been easier if you had of asked for all of the component suggestions in one post, and given a final budget. That way chopping and changing things, to work in better components for the same total price, is easier. You could still do it when you are happy with the recommendation's in each thread.
