Having nVidia 680i motherboard problems? Tell nVidia!

Post by Arctucas »

If your nVidia 680i motherboard just will not work, let nVidia know by signing the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/nVidia680i/

It sounds like overclockers whining they can't reach xxx FSB. If the platform would be that bad you wouldn't see all the big names supporting it and keeping it up to date. The platform was launched almost a year ago and people just realized it had some issues? Cmon...

There are no specifics in the petition. I haven't heard much bad about the 680i chipset. Your petition isn't gonna go anywhere if you don't specify

all chipsets will have some issues. You deal, or get a new board

The only "bad" is that people's expectations are higher than the platform's capabilities.

I've always had issues of some kind or another with nvidia chip sets. I've used nForce 2/3 & 4.

I never had a completely stable PC with them, yet I've never had any issues with Intel's chip sets!

I couldn't agree more. I've never heard of any mobo that didn't have some kind of issues. I've built with Intel, Asus & MSI and have been happy with all three, but each had some kind of issue. The trick is to resolve the issue and get the board stable so you can enjoy the rewards of building your own custom PC.

I think you forgot to look at the Intel Motherboard Forum:

D975XBX2 this, D975XBX2 that and that, for about 6 pages.

Those problems were with the bios and the marvel sata controller, infact the xbx2 is based on the 975 chipset, which is acknowledged as one of the most stable chip sets ever!
