DreamScene final?

Post by Sovereign »

"Windows DreamScene" showed up in my Ultimate Extras bar today... And it didn't say "Preview." Does this mean that Microsoft actually came through and released the final? Anyone else have it?

Can you say whether CPU usage has gone up/down as a result of the final? My rig is in folding mode so the CPU cores are permanently occupied...

so I was playing Crysis Beta last night... Was fine till I exited the game... Once I exited it locked up and I got a BSOD... When I rebooted the PC it's like Dreamscene was never installed and my wallpapaer is gone (just black).

That happens, I've reset my computer more times than I can count (no BSoD though). "Windows DreamScene has encountered an error." If Explorer.exe is terminated "incorrectly," Windows will do this. You can click "Personalize" and manually go back into the DreamScene section of the control panel and turn it back on, or if you wait long enough (at least in my case) it will restart on its own.

EDIT: 768th post! Too bad my graphics cards don't have 768MB memory (8800GTX/Ultra :prayer:)
