The Unreal Tournament 3 beta demo is out. Start Downloading! It's actually a bit small... just over 740MB in size!

FYI: doesn't support windows xp x64 and may not in final release. I believe it does support vista x64 though. Odd isn't it?

XP X64 is a wreck, I've got loads of stuff that doesn't work on it... all my stuff works in Vista 64-bit though.

never had a game that wouldn't run on it that was any sorts of recent in my experiences with it. My drivers that could be found were more stable than on 32bit. To each there own. I was just throwing out a warning.

Hm dl'ed it and installed it no sweat on a Windows XP 32bit.
Gameplay is pretty good. Overall I would say that's it's like UK2K4 with a face lift. There are two maps included in the demo.

Yeh , this wont work in XP x64 for some reason as the install process comes up with a "error" message . Works in Vista x64 so far without a hitch .

If you are playing the recently released Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo right now use driver 163.75 posted on nZone at this link http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downl ... river.html

Even the 163.75 driver doesn't have an SLI profiles for this new game demo, so sit tight. I talked with NVIDIA and they will be releasing new drivers with SLI profiles for UT3 and COD4 later this week.

Note that UT3 Demo has a frame rate cap of 60 fps, if you want to remove this cap do this....

FRAME RATE CAP Fix for UT3:
Locate "UTEngine.ini" in \Users\userName\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config
Set bSmoothFramerate = False

The Game runs extremely well even on a low end computer with everything turned up. TIS amazing!!!

This is one game that will deff get when it comes out!! The Multiplayer is simply amazing!!!

oh my GOD this game looks amazing! i've been a diehard UT fan for a few years now, and after playing this demo i cant see ANYthing i dont like.

i actually like the rocket launcher this time xD

I'm dig'n the vehicle CTF, speeds things up a bit. Really liking all the new textures and maps. The big mech in the deathmatch map makes it a tad lopsided, I can see arguments in LANs over that one.

Plays great ....

But using a half gig of RAM ....
And 95 - 100% CPU the whole time I'm in the game???

Is that normal???
