I ahve recently got a new router not two weeks ago, and jsut noticed i cant go to http://www.gamershell.com while my friends can i can at school. I also cant connect to http://www.cad-comic.com any ideas why?

I seemed to have fixed it but my brothers not going to like the fix, i unplugged his wireless router that was getting its net through an Ethernet port on mine and now if works fine. Any reason why?

He proly had the required ports forwarded to his PC.

good or bad thing? ive just been told to make sure he doesnt try a brute force attack on the router to get the password. Yes he is like that, a d!ck head.

Good or bad thing he forwarded ports? Port forwarding is not really a security risk per say, as the router will only forward traffic that was previously requested by the user. The user has to initiate the connection, it's not like you have ports open 24/7 for anyone to connect too!
If your concerned about him doing a brute force attack on the router password, then don't worry. Most routers won't allow this and will disable admin access for a limited amount of time if you fail to login correctly.
You could use a randomly generated password on the router. You'd have to be VERY lucky to get the password with a brute force attack then.

But remember, all he needs to do is do a hard reset on the router to get back to factory defaults!
