I just built my first computer today and added the memory as usual. I checked CPU-Z and it says that it is PC6400 running at 600Mhz. I bought Corsair XMS2 Dominator PC28000 that is supposed to run at 800Mhz. Is there something in the BIOS I have to change? I have updated all drivers as well.
Specs:
nVIDIA 680i mobo
E6850 proc
2 x 1Gb Corsair XMS2 sticks (Matched)
eVGA 8800GTX
Memory not reading right
Re: Memory not reading right
PC2-8000 = 1000Mhz
PC2-6400 = 800Mhz
Does CPU-Z say 600Mhz? If so, that's a nice set you got since DDR = double data rate, your memory is in fact running at 1200Mhz.

Can you post a screenshot? Or even better, take some pics of your BIOS settings?
