New BAD AXE 2 owner tips ?

Hello to all,
I'm new in this forum and a new owner of a bad axe 2 mobo.For some time i've been watching the forum as a visitor and found out a lot about it.I'd say i've tried a couple of other boards which ended up as a disapointment before i ended up with this one.
To begin with my current set up is as follows:
M/B:INTEL 975XBX2 rev5.5 ,bios version 2785
CPU:E6600 C2D
RAM :4*1GB OCZ @800mhz gold series
GPU:ATI SAPPHIRE X1800XL
PSU:TAGAN:600W Easycon XL
HDDs:1 WD Raptor 74GB 1 MAXTOR 300GB SATA 2 and 1WD 250GB SATA 2
ODDs: 1 PLEXTOR 755A and 1NEC 7170S.
At the moment i'm quite happy with it. I'm not into overclocking but nevertheless i gave it a try with no success so far. I don't use raid either cause nowadays it's quite difficult to find a descent embedded controller.I use to think that Jmicron might be the worst controller around but Marvell seems to outrun him.
Speaking of the Marvell controller can someone set windows xp on that controller ? As a second boot disc of course.The best think is to find a descent raid controller and take advantage of the pci e slots but which one. Where i come from it's difficult to find a pcie controller but i maybe get my hands on an Areca.What do you guys think ?
So far i've tried a sata 1 controller with sillicon image chip 3512 just to hook up my 2 new sata writers but with no success cause i was getting bsod and system hangs all the time.Does this improve if you disable the Marvell controller ?
I'll have to admit that intels controller is of course far more trustworthy but when i connected my 2 sata writers i got corrupted data and system restarts when i hooked up my 500 gb seagate.
In the future i'll give overclocking another chance and come up with more questions but at the moment i do enjoy my systems stability.I think that's it for now .Any tips and advice would be more than welcome.
