SMP Client Crashed

Post by camaroguy1998 »

Has anyone else had problems with their SMP client?
The SMP client has crashed on both my systems in the last day or so.
Both at the same time and there are no notes in the log,
it shows the last percentage of the WU completed and thats it!
I cannot get F@H to run in SMP at all now.
The standard client will run, I have that running at the moment.
Any ideas? No I havent checked the F@H forums yet, thats next if no one here has any ideas.

download the latest version from the stanford site and reinstall. I had the same problem with mine about a week ago. I just reinstalled and all was well.

Well good news and bad news.

Good News, SMP is up and running! Thanks DaIceMan!

Bad News, Lost the last WU, was down for 1 1/2 - 2 days before I realized it, and I havent been home most of the weekend and missed the WU deadline. :(

I did notice something strange in the log file......

When trying to get a new WU it kept getting an IP address of 0.0.0.0
But then finally got a good connection.

Here it is.......

same way it works (or doesn't work) for me. Every time the version gets old and the SMP stops working, I lose a WU. At least it's up and running again.

same thing seems to happen to me after M$ updates and a reboot, i have to reinstall, if you dont reboot during the uninstall and the new install it usually picks up where it crashed and you dont lose the WU (assuming that you caught it in time to avoid an expiration)
