I have a work laptop that is regularly used off the work network. Is it possible to make sure that the unauthorized web browsing is not tracked the next time I connect to the company network? I am able to install software off the network. Its not like I am going to porn sites on the work computer, but I do go to some that would be blocked by the smoothwall if I were connected to the network.

The filter at work is checking stuff as it comes across the firewall/router via a proxy of some type at work. At home you don't have that. Now unless they check you web history on the laptop your fine, even if they do its easy enough to clear browsing history.
