holy moley trojans

ive been on my parents pc for the last 15 minutes, and norton has found 2 trojans in as much time doing its real-protect thing.

i think someone might have its IP or something.

suggestions?

Format, easier then tracking down the bug that got in it. For every 1 it catches there is usually 1 or 2 that don't and allow the one that does gets caught to keep coming back.

Chances are it came in on spyware, format it, reinstall, get AVG antivirus and anitispyware. Also get them a firewall if they are on highspeed.

Also make a limited account for them to work on, browse the web open emails etc...
Its much safer this way

Talking about accounts, kill/disable the Guest account and while under safe mode make a password for the ADMINISTRATOR.

Do they have a hardware firewall. This will help keep the door closed more.
