I'm the guy with the stock psu. And was fine with it until I read the stuff you said and now sketched on it blowing so good drawing
I got the 250 watt one that comes with the area 51 case. Not the one pictured in newegg because it was another one that came with mine. They credited me 10 dollars for the mis advertising but, still. If I wanna upgrade my video card like I do then I need a psu first I guess.

OMG Apoptosis !!!! You couldn't have picked a better time to put this out there for me!!!! :partyman:

I'm currently in the midst of trying to get FSP-Group to replace my FX700-GLN under warranty. It was purchased through NewEgg in August, 2006 & NewEgg's standard warranty is now expired :( ... But............. it lists this model as having a 2-year manufacturer's limited warranty, so I'm trying to find out the facts.. FSP hasn't been quick to reply to my email at all. I purchased one of them PSU testers with a digital read out & it's reporting that the 12v2 is well below specs. The symptom(s) that showed were the system started booting up from a cold start & shut down seconds later.

The PSU should have had plenty of power to spare as well.. A list of my components:

e6600(stock)
2GB PC8500 Crucial Ballistix (stock)
eVGA 7600GT (stock)
5 Barracuda Drives
1 DVD-RW drive
1 CR-RW drive
1 Innovatek Eheim HPPS Plus 12V WaterPump
6 x 120mm Fans in push-pull configurations

All I can do is cross my fingers & hope to win this... :supz:

Good Luck to all though :)

This would go great for my idea of a "Build a PC to fight hunger" idea. It is something I am working on, as a Calgary Lan Charity program!

Count me in !
This is a chance to go back to a Ultra PSU.
I used a 550W a while back and I think Ultra makes some solid PSU.
