I just got a video ipod and i am looking to convert some dvds and some avi wmv etc files so that can be used on the ipod..

Rip the DVD -> DVDFab HD Decrypter
Convert to .avi -> AutoGK
Convert to .mp4 (iPod) -> Nero's Recode
HandBrake - FREE!
There are lots of other programs out there but this is what I use.
