Legit Staff Wanted!

I think something worth mentioning is that we aren't just looking for people who want free schwag....but people who are dedicated, want to help others, and help us make the community grow.
To me, this stuff is very important, this is a very tight knit and very honest group who will do anything they possibly can for our members.

This is the exact philosophy I believe in. I never did product reviews because I was guaranteed a free product (and actually, I've become wary of some companies who simply hand out the free goods and then pressure you to write good reviews).

If a product sucks, I want to be able to let readers know WHY it sucks -- but also giving the manufacturer a chance to make things right (after all, there is such a thing as a faulty product). Honesty goes a very long way in this business, and is definately something I strive for in every review I write.

Word... Very true. Dont give in to what some people want you to say. Speak what you know its right. Then try and see if you cant find out why something sucked.
Also dont go bashing just give what you want and mean.

Gosh, i remember the subzero cooler that I reviewed...that thing was an absolute piece. So many design flaws...I dont have any good pictures of the base anymore, but If i remember correctly the base of it was actually BUMPY! I think that the heatpipes made the base very unflat, but I cant remember as I didnt notice until after I published it.

I'd love to become involved. Owing to circumstances resulting in quite a few physical maladies, I am stuck at home doing nothing much of the time - hence my hobby of putting together high end computers.
Unfortunately, because I'm physically incapable of holding a "real job", this doesn't happen often enough for my liking. I'd absolutely love the opportunity to review new hardware, just the thing to ward off my periods of boredom, etc - just say the word, and I'm there!

I come here to find the excellent reviews and news articles that you guys picked from around the web. I honestly don't have access to a lot of the hardware as some others here do, but I'm just showing you my interest. I think you know I've had some interest. I love computers and always will!!

lol im a hometheater buff, but dont know much about cell phones and pda's much. Dont have the money to drop on those things.

Ive been talking to capper, and not to burst anyones bubble who was hardcore hoping they would become a full time reviewer and get free stuff, but this is mostly a news posting and forum moderator post for the time being...

The reviewer clause is much farther in the future.

Nathan, since you are looking for entry level reviewers I thought I should reply. Having enough practical hardware and software experience to be dangerous (very dangerous) you would have a editorial perspective that most other review sites don't have. KISS (keep it simple stupid). Well actually I can get very technical if needed, but I always say if you can't teach a beginner, you can't teach at all. My writing style is more like Smokey Yunick's, practical and down to earth (everyone who drives a rod should read his book "Power Secrets"). Most who know me say writing is one of my gifts. Guys, just trying to "keep it simple", and real....we are looking for people to handle the news and keep up interest on a variety of topics in the forums.
I just don't want anyone to expect to jump in and start reviewing products......that not happen, and they get upset....down the road it may turn into a reviewer position, but we need to focus on news and the forums right now.
