Using the soon to be released Corsair XMS PC-5400UL modules Legit Reviews has managed to surpass the 900MHz memory barrier by a hair. Running at 453.4MHz or 906.8MHz DDR at loose 5-5-5-15 timings. Having a 1:2 memory multiplier is something that enthusiasts is going to love. The ability to run DDR2-800 at a stock FSB of 200MHz is awesome.
CPU-Z 1.28.1 shows the Tras as 7, but it is really running at 15.
Micron D9 IC's are looking like they could be the first enthusiast IC for DDR2 memory. (BH5's = DDR1 / D9's = DDR2)

nah... i hit this today...
Legit Reviews is the first to hit DDR2 1Ghz that we know of. Kingston and Corsair has not even reached this fast in their test labs. I called this morning to check. ;)
We have a great overclocking article in the works on the i955X platform.
Can you say 1,000MHz memory on an Intel reference board? We can!

Posted an two page article on the main page with some benchmarks showing off DDR2 memory performance at 1GHz.
If anyone else is hitting over 800Mhz post up your everest, sandra, or PCMark04 memory benchmarks. I'd love to see what other systems are doing. Plus we all know you want to show them off!

It seems a bunch of other sites are linking directly to this forum post. The full article can be seen here with all the benchmarks used posted.
I also ran everest and got scores of 5800MB/Sec on average. I'd run more testing, but with retail boards coming in I'm going to hold off as 90% of our readers buy boards by Tier 1 and Tier 2 motherboard makers. (ASUS, MSI, ABIT, EPOX, and so on)
I'm able to post 5-4-4 timings at 1GHz, but the system gets the BSOD when I run any applications. I can hit 4-4-4 well above 800MHz, but just not hit the limit. I'm working on the C19 article tonight.

btw, do you know any place still have those LGA775 brackets for corsair hydrocool ? right now i can only using hydrocool 200 on AMD64/s478 but not LGA775 heh

try shooting the guys at Corsair an e-mail or just giving them a call. Last I knew they had some left still. That product line is EOL, so parts are going to become far and few.

yup, it will be up shortly. I'm working on our C19 article still. Nvidia sent out an OEM system which on Sunday night at 2am I was running benchmarks on. When I got done and started charting the results I noticed that something was wrong. The C19 platform was beating the I955X platform by a decent margin. Turns out the hard drive they configured for us had all the latest updates, but NOT service pack 2 and all those updates. It just had SP1 and some other tweaks done that were throwing off all the numbers by a margin I wasn't happy with. I then threw out all my numbers on the C19 and formatted the drive with a new install of XP Pro w/SP2. I got all the numbers done last night around 3am and am currently throwing them into graphs. Still too close to call a winner on the C19 versus i955x chipsets though. The i955X uses 2T memory and hangs tight to the C19 with 1T memory. That alone makes a noticable difference on memory sensitive benchmarks. I was going to set them both to 3-2-2-10 2T timings, but nvidia supports 1T and wants consumers to know that so I'm running the two with slight memory variances. Also hardly any of the reviews yesterday showed the i955 and the C19 versus each other. Ours is going to feature those as I feel consumers are buying one of those for their next Intel platform as tehy support dual core. (VIA PT880 Pro and others still haven't hit the market)
To give you a short heads up on overclocking the Intel EE 840 -- I can max it out at a 30% overclock, which has the FSB around 263MHz and you already know the memory maxes out at 1GHz DDR2 as I posted that article yesterday. As far as how high it will go... You'll just have to wait!

i see you're using Corsair mem with 3-2-2-8 timings, how does
this compare to the OCZ 5400EB with 4-2-2-8 timings on the 955X?
i know the now old OCZ 4200EB could be clocked to 800+mhz on
a 925XE system. has anyone tried the OCZ yet?
would be very interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of

i found the review i was looking for, it's on anandtech and they managed
to clock the 4200EB modules to 821mhz with timings of 4-2-3-8.
because of the fact that the modules would more than likely be destroyed
with the removal of teh heatsinks, they were not removed, but they
are most likely micron.
i have placed an order for the 5400EB 1gb kit and thought it might be
interesting to see how they perform on the new chipset. (i have a 925XE)
