so it seems when i get to 3.10Ghz or higher, my pc likes to BSOD and restart...

should i start upping my VCore? i just remembered i have a CPU-Z shot up here on the first page of the thread, a ways down: http://forums.legitreviews.com/about12952.html

Many times, BSOD's are due to RAM issues, not CPU. Also, BSOD's can cause file corruption and if it is a Windows essential file, your Windows install is hosed so be careful!

Bump up your memory timings for a bit and see if it still happens. Run memtest like ibleet says but if you can, boot into memtest instead of windows so you don't run the risk of corrupting files.

i would loosen the timings on your memory and drop them down to run slower as these problems are usually memory related as you up the fsb you are also upping the speed of the memory so drop it down using divider options in your bios and maybe up your vcore a notch as your cpu may be needing a voltage shot in the arm to cope with your overclock
