Get in Touch with Your Geeky Side

Post by Alathald »

OK, obviously the majority of people that use this website are total geeks (and proud of it too) but I noticed there aren't many polls or topics directed at the geek within us so I figured I'd start a totally geeky poll just for fun; if you relate to this poll at all you are probably a geek :-P.

The question here is who is your favorite superhero? Who made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when you were a kid (or still does)? Who made you totally want to kick some ass? Was it the Man of Steel with his x-ray vision (yeah I know what you'd do with that Image)? Or Batman with his vast array of gadgets? Was it Captain America with his overzealous patriotism? Or the Green Lantern with his um...ring? Maybe it was one of the many X-Men (of which there are way to many to pick and choose for this list)? Or someone I left out completely?

Go ahead, get in touch with your geeky side!!

No contest, superman wins. Sure there is the whole cryptonite thing, but check out how many other powers he has. That guy should be unstoppable.

Ok, here it is:

Superman is all powerful, his only weakness is a substance from another planet? Now THAT is weak.

Batman doesnt have any powers.

I have always been a fan of Ghost Rider. He sold his soul to the devil, and now kills the deserving. He is justice!
The movie sucked though.

Now someone should make the super villian poll!

here is to showing my age... LOL.. He-Man. The cartoon, not the Dolph Lundgren version from the movie in '87, it was just wrong. There is a remake in the works for '09, now this is one that I'm hoping will make up for the movie in '87. Take a look at the sales pitch vid http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=99

Close second would have been Wolverine

Dude, it's "kryptonite." Named after planet Krypton. Seriously, if you're gonna vote, at least be an informed voter. :)

Anyway - it's a battle between Batman and the Punisher, because they're both regular guys who had bad stuff happen - I'm voting the Punisher because the Punisher war journals were awesome. And they taught you how to break someone's "floating" ribs while simultaneously breaking their elbow. War Journals were the best comics ever.

Give him a break, he's from England, they're allowed to spell words however they want... J/k

Anyway, I picked Spiderman, he's just cool for some reason. He's not a total badass like the others, heck he wasn't even born with superpowers but actually got bit by a radioactive spider...how cool is that? IDK, for some reason he just appeals to me more than the others. Maybe it's because I read more spidey comics than other comics as a kid. Plus, the movies are the only ones based on comics that really stood up to the original comics.

A very close second is Nightcrawler from the X-Men...he is definitely one conflicted dude though.
