Vista and Netgear WG311T

Post by kappage »

It says that its all installed but i cant get it to work or be recognised by Vista. Any ideas??

And also how do i turn off those really annoying popups that ask:
"Are you sure you want to Run this program, i know you clicked it and all but are you really sure???"

Thanks

Do you have the latest drivers installed?
http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/D103110.asp

To disable those prompts, you need to turn off "UAC"
Goto start - then run - type "msconfig"
If I remember correctly the option is under either the startup or advanced tab.........I can't check for you now as I've just moved back to XP from Vista.

Well thanks to those drivers it is working, the card that is. But i was unable to find that UAC in any tab in Msconfig and i even looked in Service in administrative tools.

~4mths........I'll prolly reinstall it again in a while and dual boot.

@ first I loved Vista and I could even get over the fact it's such a resource hog, but now I just want something that's stable!

Well their is only one reason i went with vista for the moment and that is Crysis in DX10.......
But your right i will probably get sick of the long bootup and the fact when i tell it to shut down it hibernates....
