Mixing Manufacturers

Post by DL126 »

I'm ready to order my 2nd 3870 for CrossFire.
Does it matter whether or not the card comes from the same manufacturer as the first one?

The one I already have is a Diamond card.
Looks like Visiontek is all that's in stock with my vendor for the moment.

TIA!

I have never done it, but from what I gather when you do SLI or Crossfire you want to have identical cards.

If they are clocked at different speeds, they generally (at least used to) default to the lowest cards speed.
