Please help, im just about to buy a pc for gaming and i only know abit about pc's but which is best?

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express Video Card(2 of them)

or

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra 768MB 16X PCI Express Video Card

Well, the Ultra is the best but you will pay an extra $300 for it. Is it worth the extra $? Most people would say no...me included. If you want close to Ultra performance for slightly more than the GT, go with the 8800GTS 512MB (G92).

could ya answer this(may seem dumb question but)wats the differance between AMD and Intel?
Are they just brands?
which is the best/user freindly?

Their two different manufacturers. Amd is cheaper, Intel currently performs better and over clocks better/easier. User friendly if their working right, unfriendly if they mucking up. If I were going new build I'd go Intel core 2 duo unless your video editing, or sound editing. Not a lot of programs use the quad cores yet.

as for the 8800gt vs 8800 ultra..
you can get about 2 8800gt's and a sli mobo for the same price. Its kinda rediculous lol.
