XFX 8600GTS

Well ive just installed the New 8600GTS, Yes first i uninstalled the drivers then installed.... And im about to test my first game.. Might get a program to monitor the temp first because its so hot in here inside the room its 32oC(89.6F).. Outside they said it was going up to 42oc (107F) but it felt hotter Anyway Merry Christmas!

WOW I never thought of that
symbolically here in north america, It gets cold so it starts to feel like Christmas(altho here in south florida cold is 80F) I never thought of the southern hemisphere. Christmas for you is when it starts to get hot. lol. What do you guys think of all the Christmas movies since they all seem to revolve around snow.. Or is it different depending on where you are?

No they all revolve around the snow. But what can i say I have always wanted a white Christmas. It gets to bloody hot here..... its coming up 10 to 10 (PM) and it is still 32 degrees inside and yet their is no breeze so its going to be this hot tomorrow inside....

But i noticed something about this card i forgot to say earlier.... It makes it 10X better then the one that the guy earlier reviewed. Mine has a black PCB (i think thats right).... Now only if it was UV reactive...

A lot of the Ref samples used for review have green PCB I think they use it to identify the ref samples, and it's probably cheaper. I bought a video card off of FleaBay last year for a customer, was green instead of black PCB, when I loaded the nVidea monitoring software it clearly read Reference Sample.

How do you like the 8600gts? its still a nice card. If its free for you.. Then you are required to add 75% to the benchmark score for the cost/performance benefit.

Well i was playing crysis on max for with it. So now i have installed vista the card anbd everything but 1 thing works fine. Just making a post on it in Operating systems.

Is it just me or are my clocks on this card a bit high???
Core clock is 730Mhz
Memory clock is 2268Mhz

Arent they a bit high??

lol yea it might be bottlenecking. What kinda marks are you getting in aquamark3 3d05 and 3d06?
