McDonald's

Post by Topher »

True story....
I ran through the drive-thru of McDonalds yesterday to pick up some food for myself and the kids.
After I finished completing my order, the person behind the speaker asked me if that was for here or to go....
I sat there for a second dumbfounded, then answered "Um, to go". She said thank you, please drive through to the second window.

Ha. A co-worker and I went to Max & Erma's yesterday and I got a hamburger and asked for "No onions, no mayo". The waitress then asked "Would you like mayonnaise on that?" :|
I replied, "No onions, no mayo, please.". Then I saw it register with her. At least they got it right :)

they ask those questions at either another station earlier in the shift or they just plain old ask the same questions over and over again throughout those long days.

foodservice sucks, so don't take it personally when something like that happens, just grin and go, they caught it too and they most likely had a good laugh about it after the headset cut off.

when i worked in the food industry i had a few similar situations and i always felt like an idiot for a second then laughed it off

If she gave you permission, why didn't you drive through her window then?

Talking about McDonalds, Ronald got arrested for serving unhealthy fattening food ...

I need to go take a pic of it, but a guy up the street has a Ronald statue on a bench in his front yard. Creepy part is that its couple houses up the street from my kids bus stop, needless to say my kids have been told not to go near it.

That was a very common bench found in many of the McDonald's in Wal*Marts and in large shopping malls. When our McDonald's moved out of the Wal*Mart to across the street, the bench went into the Wal*Mart dumpster. I'm not sure if someone snagged it or not, but you couldn't have missed it. The wife told me at the time not to have any idea's for it, but to drive home.

So, it seems somebody got a Ronald bench and is putting it to some use. Not bad.

It's just like everything else..."Balance and moderation".

Fast food has its usefulness, but only in times when you don't have access to a healthy alternative like a balanced meal.

Its the people who eat it every day who will pay the price in the end.

I eat fast food maybe twice a month at most.

Ditto, but when that time comes around, it's time to splurge and get a Crave Case from White Castle or something.

Of all of the fast food places that would happen at McD's... Personally, I think Chick-fil-a is the best... (and, no, I don't work there...)

For me, the best tasting fast food sandwich by far is the Turkey Bacon Club Toasted Sub from Arby's. It clocks in at about 619 calories.

McDonalds gets my "worst fast food" vote and Subway gets my "best fast food" vote. I even like the taste of Subway better and it doesn't slow me down.

i hate subway, one time i went(and the ONLY time to date), they used peperoni-salami which tastes godaweful, the bread was the only good part of it :finga:

wendy's all the way, expensive but worth it

and i dont see why they have the eatin and take out tax, its the same percentage either frickin way, why dont they just say the fast food tax or mcdonalds tax, or get rid out it altogether and add the 30 some odd cents(higher or lower depending on what you got) into each item and stop the confused people thinking wtf is this tax from???? :?
