Hi!
I have a Pentium 4 / 3.06 GHz / 1.46 GB RAM / 75 GB hard drive running on Windows XP; on-motherboard video card.
I have installed the game "Battle of Europe", and it has worked well; but I got a video card Radeon 9250, 256MB (PCI version) to improve performance...I installed the card and drive according to instructions; but now my computer seems to be a little bit slower, even worse: the game does not work since then (I launch the application and a window says "Generic application error. Enable debug output for detailed information. This sample will not exit") also, my DVD player has started to look choppy......so I uninstalled the card, disabled the software and enabled the on-motherboard card and everything went back to normal.
I checked the DirecTX diagnostic tool and I found out that when the Radeon 9250 card is installed (and working) the Direct Draw acceleration, Direct 3D acceleration, and AGP texture acceleration are shown as disabled; but whenever I change the stuff back to my on-board card, they are enable and game and DVD player work.
Can anyone please help me out? Thanks for ypur time amigos.
Alberto.

Re: Problems with Sapphire - 9250 Radeon 256 MB
Did you properly install the latest ATI video card drivers?
Download the latest from ATI - http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html and install those. Forget the ones that came on the disc with the card you bought as they are likely many months old.
Actually I just looked at ATI's website and the newest drivers for the 9250 are 6.11, which are now 14 months old. Meaning any games made in the past 14 months has not been optimized for this card. The game you are playing came out in March 2006 though, so it should work as the drivers are from November 2006.

Did you completely uninstall the integrated graphics drivers before installing the new card?
And once you have uninstalled it and put the new one in, disabled the on board graphics from the BIOS?
