Did Bill Gates Just Say Windows Sucks?

Holy Crap: Did Bill Gates Just Say Windows Sucks?

We asked a simple question: what Microsoft product could have used a little more polish before release? The answer astounded us. We would just like to thank Bill Gates for his honesty and his openness.

heh, that's as much of an acknowledgement that vista sucks as we're likely to see!

Interesting that he said, Windows VISTA is a bland OS.

I had to play it three times to really get his meaning on that one.

So if VISTA is bland, what makes the next one better?

No wonder more people are looking into other OS's other than Windows or jumping back to XP.

The next one, Windows 7, is a completely new OS design (from what I heard) from the Windows kernel. So we'll probably see some major changes other then GUI (XP to Vista). Vista is all eye candy (even though I'm running Vista myself :P ). I went from XP to 2003 to Vista and see no difference other then GUI changes and a few other small changes. I think Vista is like the Plus! (back then from 98) for Windows XP. Just strip it down to the basic before install and you have XP with a new shell.

Um actually Vista does have a kernel that is very different from that of XP. That's why it takes more resources and so many of the programs had to be "adjusted" to work with it properly.

My biggest complaint is from things like trying to copy a large set of files from one hard disk to another. Vista takes longer to estimate the time it will take than XP does to copy the files!
