Mobo w/ 1600/1333/1066/800 FSB support

I noticed there are a few motherboards introduced that have 1600/1333/1066/800 mhz FSB support (Asus Maximus series)

but are there any motherboards that support the full range of FSB and have SLI copabilities?

I'm curious because I think my motherboard is faulty (I havent narrowed down the problem quite yet) and I would like to upgrade to something I can put my current ddr2-800 ram and q6600 (1066fsb) into and still have the option to upgrade a couple of years down the line when things become inexpensive.

I didnt find any official support for all the range but the 780i is looking promising :
It support 1333Mhz but usually going to 1600Mhz is not a problem

What is slightly worrying is that on the XFX box there's only a mention of support for 1,333MHz front side bus CPUs. What about 1,600MHz FSB like the QX9770 that Intel released to the press not so long ago? We asked Nvidia and the only comment we have on it at the current time is that it's working on a BIOS fix. Every nForce 680i SLI we've used in the last year has overclocked in excess of 1,600MHz FSB so it shouldn't be that much of a problem for Nvidia.

The reason I wanted the whole range is because I have a 1066mhz Q6600 that I would initially install...but would like to have the option to get a 1600mhz dual core chip sometime in the future. so the asus maximus formula mobo fills that role but it doesn't support SLI....while I'm not sure If I will ever use SLI it would be nice to have the option just in case I need to do a quick upgrade without building an entire new rig.

As i wote it willl probably take a BIOS fix only to get 1600Mhz support and besides that the Board is great.

wait for a 790i, triple sli, 1600 fsb, and no bridge chip like the 780i

I don't know of any product that is currently being sold that fits that description. Seems like you'll have to make some compromises!

If you're really rich, then having an SLI board is a good option but from my experience, the videocard refreshes happen so often that it might just be cheaper to just keep buying high range single cards instead of going the SLI route. You can consider current boards based on X48 and 780i if you want something right now.

The 780i will run the QX9770, I have been testing that exact setup recently (though I still prefer Intel chipsets to Nvidia. On Intel chipsets the computer feels "snappier" and more responsive than nforce boards).
Abit, Asus, and Gigabyte have X38 boards that are showing support for 1600FSB. X48 chipsets will be along very soon with 1600 FSB support as well.
If you're set on SLI then I would say wait a bit for Nvidia's next gen.

I suppose Asus Maximus is my best bet...no SLI support but I guess I can live without it.
