Corsair Nautilus 500 Radiator Modifications Improved Cooling

Post by rbarbier »

I just purchased the Black Ice Xtreme Radiator from Dangerden with the blue 3/8" fittings. My question is, will I have to replace the fan also or will the fan still fit in the Corsair Nautilus case? Also, what fan would be a good replacement which I would eventually do anyways.

Thanks.

This is the mod that I am talking about:

If you read through that thread you'll see what I did trying to improve performance... I changed blocks, fans, hoses, elbows, radiators and so on trying to get the best performance. The one thing I didn't do that you can do to improve flow is change out the quick connect fittings and just run a hose straight from the water block to the radiator.

Cool. Thanks. That sounds like a plan.

Will the stock fan that is currently in my Corsair Nautilus fit with the new radiator (i.e. will the case of the Nautilus still close). I am just worried that the radiator could be too big and force me to have to buy a skinnier fan or something.

Thanks.
