i want to try out my newly acquired 850XT, and the only that is currently PCIe is the dell, and i only want to TRY it so it isnt just sitting on my desk, what do i need to do with drivers to get this all to work smoothly, and what do i need to do in BIOS

Can we rephrase this question?
I'm assuming you have integrated. You need to put x850xt in the computer, boot disable Onboard, download drives install restart

i guess i'll just slip the card in, install catalyst 8.1, then uninstall 8.1 when im done(and the BIOS stuff too)
