Need help with my video card powercolor hd 2600 xt 512mb

hi, i just bought a powercolor hd 2600 xt 512mb and im having some problems.. my pc suddenly crashes when im playing games.. what seems to be the problem? i have installed the driver and everything.. and still.. it crashes...

Uninstall the card (start, run, type devmgmt.msc, display adaptors, right click, uninstall) -> reboot the computer into safe more -> run driver cleaner pro (remove both ati and nvidia if you had a nvidia card before, if not then just run ati) -> reboot into normal windows -> reinstall the graphics drivers/card

but im still having problems.. games still crashes.. any connection with the watts of my cpu? or its just bad driver?

what PS are you using?
what video card were you using before the 2600? (did you use Drivercleaner Pro to remove old drivers?)
is its fan spinning?

I prefer to get the newest drivers from AMD/ATI rather than the ones on the disk or Powercolor.

my old vcrd was also an ATI
and whenever i open CATALYST this S*** appears

Have you installed the latest .net framework then?

You can get it via Microsoft update.

Can you please post your full system specs.

Provided there is nothing wrong with that, I'm going to ask you to do the uninstalling/cleaning/reinstalling with AMD's drivers this time. They're more up-to date, and even if they aren't the problem then it is one thing we can cross off as not being the problem

I got that message on a machine the other day.

I had to uninstall all the drivers ... Then install .Net 2.0 ... Then reinstall the drivers.
All was well afterwards.

thats another good reason to get your drivers directly from AMD/ATI they mention when extra things like NET. are needed.
