First and Last

Post by Merlin »

OK this is a small thing for most people but a HUGE thing for me. I have right now my first ever NVidia Video card (I have always had ATI). I was trying to play a game today and I got a message that told me my video drivers were out of date so I went to the NVidia website to download the newest drivers and ...I can't unless I want to give them my name and e-mail address. I also can't send them an e-mail to tell them I am not happy with them requireing me to give my personal information without also giving them my personal information. I really don't like it when a company that I buy something from for over $100 requires anything further from me for me to continue to use what I purchased. IF drivers do not fall into the category of Free support then nothing does. My personal information is NOT FREE. I will NEVER buy another Nvidia Product!!!!!! IF I want to download your newest drivers that must mean I have already purchased your product otherwise the drivers are worthless so please take my money once but do not EVER REQUIRE me to give you marketing data to get new drivers or else will not buy your stuff...can you tell this really ticks me off

OOOOh madder still...I cannot find anywhere on their website that allows me to e-mail them unless I have a special problem with windows Vista. I could go into their forums and complain there but not without registering which requires I give them the very info I don't want to.

Merlin... you actually don't have to provide any information at all to download Nvidia drivers.

Once you reach the page that lists the email and other data fields you are actually done, the download is supposed to have already started. If it didn't start for you then check any pop-up blockers you may have and refresh that page to restart the attempt to download.

Cheers!
