Is there anyway to change the name of a font in windows without downloading an external application, I've tried right-click, properties, and changing the name, but i can't apply the changes, even after taking ownership of the file. Any suggestions?
the staff can go ahead and move this if they want, wasn't sure whether to put this in General or Software.

Re: Font Names
Don't think you can change it once windows has it registered.
Try to copy it out of the system folder to another folder, rename it, re-import it, then delete the old one.

this is the folder that i moved the files to:
this is after i copied the files into the Fonts folder: so the name of the font is the gray text from picture 1, and when i look for the font in say, Word, it looks like this: (the 1st and 2nd font listed are the ones im talking about)

and when i rename the file, it renames the darker text (top)this is after i copied the files into the Fonts folder: so the name of the font is the gray text from picture 1, and when i look for the font in say, Word, it looks like this: (the 1st and 2nd font listed are the ones im talking about)
