anyone seen cloverfield?

I can't remember where I came across the link, but it was revealed that all of the Cloverfield/Lost/Heroes/Alias references were merely inside jokes/nods to the fandom by JJ Abrams and nothing more. There is nothing deeper to look for apparently. I find these things pretty cool myself 8)

It would be cool to make that movie hold some of the answers to LOST thought wouldn't it.
It would be genius.

Everyone's trying to tie Cloverfield into other things (Lost, etc.) just so they can possibly make some sense of both of the things. Neither of them REALLY make sense.

Oh, about the viral marketing thing, what happened to some of the screenshots on the site, like the one with the whales that were torn apart on shore? [edit:] because they weren't in the movie. :-k

I want to see it, but I think I am doomed to wait until the DVD release. My girlfriend won't go because she is afraid of getting motion sickness from the camera, and they only have really late shows around where I live.
