WOOOT!!

Post by Merlin »

Ok so we had a thunder storm the other day and my Aspire/Apevia 500W PSU blew out. I didn't post it here when it happened cuz I knew I would catch all kinds of you know what from Dice. Well I picked up my new Corsair HX 520W today and plugged it all up and I didn't loose anything else. So now I am the proud owner of my first really good PSU and I didn't loose anything in the blow out of my old POS PSU. I really hate WOOOT but it just fits how I feel sooo well. Now I can overclok once again!!

Oh come on Diceman that was a perfect time to let your humor out... I know full well I dodged a bullet in full on MAtrix fashion so a little humor is good ( since I did dodge rather than get hit in the face)

had a free apevia that I used for a while. When it went belly up, I lost a video card in the deal. Fortunately I won the PCP&C Quad on here and had onboard video to fall back on. I've never been one to skimp on power supplies, but at the time I didn't have an option (aside from not using the computer). Lessen learned for all.

Years ago I used to use what ever came with the case, then started seeing machines I was responsible for (College lease machines) dying from power supply related incidents. Out of 125 machines we always had one or two needing a power supply, or being replaced from death by power supply. Didn't take long to figure out good quality was the way to go at home.

One more WOOOT note on this sugject....I had the Corsair PSU in my hand and I turned it over and saw the Legit Reviews Editors Choice symbol on the back. Way to go NAthan and team Major companies are now using the Legit Reviews name to market their products and that is no small feat!!! Hoooray for you all with a small pat for all of us ( the legit community ) that have been a part of this.
