How do I find the bottleneck?

Post by unclechoochoo »

Hey all, I was wondering how to find the bottleneck on my system. I think my cpu is holding my system(see sig) back. But I dont know how to find out. Give me some ideas!!

if your already finding no real difference between res with the benchmark then it is likly your cpu thats the limiting factor. Generaly if you get huge fps at low res and small fps at high res then its your gfx card but your not seeing much difference from 640 up to 1600. that means your cpu cant keep up with your 9800pro.

Cpu is the bottleneck just from looking at your specs. If you can OC it to very high levels it might be better off.

If you want to see if it is bottlenecking, try ocing it a bit and benching the system and look for improvements.
