just added a Q6600 running Ubuntu 64bit to the folding :) smp of course

still messing with it - basically playing with linux, so it wont be 100% effective. I notice it doesnt run the cpus at 100% anyway whenever i look at it in that system thing on linux. I want this system to be a media center for the bedroom so I can stream movies from my main box or snag em from a USB drive and play them in the bedroom in high def!! Am using the VGA connector to the tv right now, but I might be trying a dvi->hdmi cable shortly to see if the quality is any better. Also am downloading mythbuntu as an addon from their site right now too, to see if that will give me the perty display I wnt to pick movies from

Mike

We shall see if I break 4000 points per day with this folding, I doubt it, but I wont hit those 10 and 11 thousand I keep seeing ;)

10? 11? Pffft!

/me thinks KnightRid hasn't seen DaIceMan's stats lately. <big grin>

Nice to have another machine in the fray. I'll be adding another ace in the hole, hopefully before the war ends.

With the new xfx 280 my ppd should be at 8246. Should put me in the 6th place for ppd.

How many points will be left after the competition though? ;) Would be nice to do a LONG term folding war, say for 6 months or so!!

I should hold on to about 18-19k or so under my name. About 3k is one of our folders that got away, but I think I can keep him going. The other 3k is a buddy of mine that I'm working hard to convince to join the Team. It's awesome that he's helping us out, but would be even awesomer (LOL) if he would stick around. :)
