Like I said before overclocking will help more with the minimum frame rates than the average frame rates. And in my opinion that is more important.

Oh I plan to OC the heck out of this thing when it's built! That's the whole point! Here's my latest build sheet.

Case Corsair Obsidian CC700DW
PSU Corsair CMPSU-750HX
CPU Barbs Bitspower 1/2" Compression Fitting BP-BSCPF-CC5 x2
Radiator Barbs Bitspower 1/2" Compression Fitting BP-BSCPF-CC5 x2
GPU Barbs Bitspower 1/2" Compression Fitting BP-BS45R2CPF-CC5 x2
GPU Waterblock EK's Waterblocks EK FC-5850 Radeon HD
CPU Waterblock EK's Waterblocks EK-Supreme LT-AMD - Acetal
Pump Swiftech MCP655
Motherboard ASUS Crosshair IV Formula
CPU AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz
RAM Corsair DOMINATOR-GT 8GB CMT8GX3M4A1866C9
GPU ASUS Radeon HD 5850 EAH5850
Optical ASUS BC-06B1ST Blu-Ray
140mm Case Fans Yate Loon 140mm D14SM-12 x3
120mm Case Fans Yate Loon 120mm D12SL-12 Red LED x3
1/2 Wire Loom Techflex 0.50 (1/2") Reflex Carbon Fiber Sleeving x15'
1/4 Wire Loom Techflex 0.25 (1/4") Reflex Carbon Fiber Sleeving x15'

I'm still trying to figure out which GPU to use. I want something with a black PCB that's reference design so I can make sure the full coverage waterblocks work on it. The ASUS is a place holder until I find something else. The Fesser radiator I planned to use seems to be discontinued so I'll likely end up with another Swiftech unless someone can recommend something better. Storage is also an issue. I'm considering that 120gb PCIe SSD they just reviewed. I don't need much space thanks to my server. Just enough to hold my games and some ISO images. I might just end up going old school in a 3 drive RAID 0 array though.

For price/performance I'd pick up one SSD as your boot drive and pick up a cheaper 2TB drive as a "game drive".
