Bluetooth Headsets for Mobile Phones

Post by sj0626 »

I recently lost my Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headset. It worked fairly well, but sometimes people complained that it sounded like I was in a tunnel. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement. I don't want to spend more than $100 USD. I use a Motorola RAZR cell phone.
Thanks!

Welcome to the LR Forums!

You know, it really depends on what you are looking for in a headset. The folks around LR really like the Plantronics stuff and the update to the headset that you had is the Discovery 655 (reviewed here).

Even though the look wasn't all that sexy, the Plantronics Voyager 510 that has very good sound quality (mainly because of the mic boom).

Lastly, depending on how flexible your budget is (and style preference), you might want to look at the Qstick EVOQ.

Just a few to get you started! :)

I use a Motorola HS850, it doesn't support stereo but the sound quality and range are nice. At the Cingular store they sell for as high as $100, but you can get them in Bulk packaging for 24.25 on Amazon. It works great with my Samsung SYNC

Yup, those Moto headsets are solid. No frills. They just work and sound good.

(HONkUS, those are pretty good prices too!)
