**Ok, for some reason the video card & monitor both support 75 Hz refresh rate but it just wouldn't work until I dropped it down to 60 Hz. Works fine now, can't really tell the difference.**
My daughters PC has a Viewsonic Syncmaster VA1930WM 19" LCD on a ATI Radeon 9600 card. When I connect the analog display it works fine, when I connect the DVI cable I get, I can boot in to windows but get a message saying 'No Signal Digital'. If I unplug / re-plug the DVI cable while still in Windows I get the digital display. Anybody have any idea why? I set up the monitor for digital input, so what would be causing this?

No idea why it worked out that way. Viewsonic auto reply told me to call for return authorization number????
Have you tried the 'force' button on Catalyst control panel? I played with that trying different refresh rates, but kept going back to 60 Hz and that was all it took to get it working. What about the DVI settings (I'm not on her PC now so I can't recall what they say) but there were 2 you could use to compensate for certain display sizes if I recall correctly.
My daughter is still young enough to have good eyesight, so the refresh rate won't trouble her like it does me!

[quote="DMB2000uk"]I would have thought that good eyesight would have made 60Hz all the more unbearable!
We'll have to see. All I know is I personally prefer 75 Hz over 60 Hz. Daughter says she can't tell the difference. Or difference between analog and DVI signal. Oh well.
