10 WU"S waiting, unable to send

Post by Darkstar »

Grr, Just checked one of my systems that i missed when i got back from vacation, and it has 10 WU's in the Q and doesnt seem to be able to send them. I figure i could do a reboot and reinstall, but then would probably lose them, can any folders here help me out on this?

thanx,

Could you check to see if there is a new version of SMP client. I think there is. I did download SMP client again and there was a new version. I hope you don't lose those WU. Or at least an update to SMP client.

Not sure if you are trying to upload to this server or not, but I found a thread on the folding forums that may be the culprit...

I also just noticed that on of my systems stopped sending in WUs... not sure if it locked up or if it is a similar situation... I'm running the Linux SMP client on this particular machine at the moment. I'll have to check it when I get home tonight.

There's been a few servers having trouble this past week or so.
Also if you use the setting to send and receive WU as "Use IE Settings" to connect change that to "No" if you have updated windows/IE lately!
Apparently MS changed some settings in IE that pretty much cutoff the server connection.

It Worked For Me!

Well, i just did a re install on the FAH and blew off the points.

I never use the IE settings as there have been complications with that before.

thanks,

Hmmm, I'm getting this a problem just like this too.

This is the error I keep getting ...

--- clip error in ---

F@h: Attempting to send results.

Could not connect to Work Server (results)

--- clip error out ---

So, what's up with this error?

I have this gut feeling it's my DSL NAT router connection blocking 8080. I've got to verify the hardware firewall on that 8080 too.

It seems to be a common thing that only one WU gets out and the rest back up for "newbies" doing the folding.

If this does not check out, then I'll post the log clip-ettes. :)

Who would of ever thought that F@H required a little more knowledge than the average computer user would know. TCP vs. UDP can make my head spin.

That was the ticket! 8080 needed to be referenced and not blocked.

F@H is now showing two work units complete, but I will have to wait until the website refreshs later to verify.
