My monitor will not boot up with my video card in the PCI Express slot anymore.i have 4 slots,1 PCI Express and 3 PCI.i had 1 video card,my GEforce 7300LE slotted into the PCI E slot and nothing in the other 3.for the past month my monitor would turn off in the middle of playing warcraft.at first for a few seconds, then for good.however my pc was running fine, the sound of the game was carrying on as normal,it was the monitor that was blank.so i came to the conclusion the monitor was faulty,i proceeded to try my monitor on my friends PC...no problems, worked fine.i then dug out my old VGA rubbish graphics card from my old pc and slotted it into the lower PCI slot, plugged the monitor into it and so far,no problems atal with the monitor.so next i thought..'video card faulty'? i check the device manager and the card is 'working properly'.
i then uninstll the card and drivers and reslot it and windows recognises the card fine, shows up on device manager ect ect,i install the drivers newly, the old ones, then the new ones, and restart.again pc starts normally, but no picture on the monitor, just a 'no signal' sign and the light flashes green, then to orange.
im kinda on a tight budget just now so i cant afford to fork out money on new hardware if its not the problem...i dont wanna buy a new graphics card only to find its a new motherboard i need...
so just to sum up...
pc runs fine, but monitor will not turn on when used with the pci e slotted video card.
windows recognises the video card and says the device is 'working properly'.
is it something simple iv missed? something on BIOS? do i need to boot up the primary pci e slot 1st?
im just confused why i get no picture, everythig is secure, cables ect, monitor works fine with the old VGA card,i dont even get a generic low res picture with my geforce..

any help would be apprciated,thanks
