spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
I created a very pretty(shows off the colours) spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up users. At http://www.angelfire.com/biz2/cwli/myinternetpass.html
Re: spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
Not trying to rub it in, but I get uncapped 1mbit DSL for £9.99 a month with UKOnline.
I know some exchanges aren't fortunate to have LLU or some even don't still get DSL >_<
Is it really that much more expensive to go from so many hours dial up to unlimited?
Sorry, I'm being critical. ^_^ Nice job on the spreadsheet.

Wow, i didnt realize people still had dialup...but it is a nice spreadsheet!!!
And i just read how japan was ahead of everyone with connectivity and speed (around 10 to 20 times faster broadband) because of shorter wire, higher quality, and fiber optic to homes. I also read that Europe was supposed to be ahead of the US too. I wonder what kind of speed everyone here at LR gets?

Re: spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
We had dial-up from 1987 until the Spring of this year. That's 20 years from the days of CompuServe and Prodigy on 1200/2400bps modems.
There are areas near me that don't have cable nor the ability to have DSL. Those people are still in the dial-up age.

Re: spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
I live in that dial-up area, and the satalite companies are too backed up do help us out too.
our satalite provider postponed on us 3 times for installing our internet so we just cancelled it

Re: spreadsheet for recording monthly internet usage for dial-up
WTF is dial-up?
Just kidding! I remember back in the day I had Netzero. Thats back when their motto was "defenders of the free world" and it was FREE, paid for by advertising. It didn't take long to see that wouldn't work. Although, I am totally amazed that companies like netzero, people pc, and juno are still around and advertising this obsolete technology. I realize that not everyone has the availability of broadband, but I think that the majority does.
Cool spreadsheet.
